Dr. Colleen Geertsema attended UC Davis for her bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology and Behavior before going on to graduate with honors from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is happy to have returned home to San Diego to care for your dogs and cats. After graduation, Dr. Geertsema became certified in veterinary acupuncture and especially enjoys this addition to daily practice.

Dr. Geertsema’s professional interests include internal medicine and caring for geriatric pets. Dr. Geertsema and her husband share their home with a Poodle-Mix, Doogie; a crazy kitty, Charlie; a Quarter horse, Xander; a miniature donkey, Georgia; and numerous chickens.
